Calm and Clear

Surprisingly, we both slept reaonsably well, but woke before the alarm at 6.40am, which is the middle of the night for us ;-)

Up, ready and a light breakfast saw us out the door at 7.30am en route to the local, renown, luckily for us, Wrightington Wigan & Leigh Cardiology Unit for hubs procedure. They were ready for us, and he was first on their list..... left him in r capable hands and his fetching gown and paper slippers ;-)
I drove home, through the morning traffic, had a quick coffee, wrote a shopping list and dashed off to Lidl. Id just got back when my. obile rang, the staff nurse telling me his angiogram had gone well and that I could collect him at 12.30. There is nothing else required, no further changes, to continue with current medication.......just what we were hoping for, happy days!!

I had an hour to spare so decided to pop to Pennington Flash with my camera.......it was too nice to sit huddled in the bird hides, instead I walked the circuitous route snapping this and that whilst clocking up a few steps. Ive opted to blip this rather tranquil shot, with its calm water and clear skies, rather a nice analogy for hubs outcomes today :-)))

Hes back home now, wandering around with his right arm in a sling for 24 hours just until his entry wound has clogged up properly. Ive been instructed to water the greenhouse and put the bins out, nothing strenuous for him for 48 hours ;-)

Think we are going to have steak with onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted red peppers with couple of potato croquettes, nice and easy ;-)
