The new apartment block in the city centre, designed by Stephen Hodder Associates, is currently my favourite of the new breed. The material and colour are right for its context of red brick former Victorian Mill buildings. And it is well thought through.

The one worry overall is about the lack of good new affordable housing, although some would say that there is a lot of that in the existing stock. But I think it is going to be an issue.
