Oak

'The oak before the Ash,
it's going to be a splash.
The Ash before the Oak,
It's going to be a soak!
Luckily it looks like the oak leaves are appearing before the Ash leaves this year, so hopefully we will have a nice warm summer ( with warm cloudy nights full of moths)
This is the flowers of the Oak tree, long strings of stamens which release pollen into the air to pollinate the female flowers.... judging by the amount of pollen potential on this one small branch, I can only be glad I am not allergic to oak pollen!!
