Based on pic (extra) of rusty staples in aged scrap of conveyor belt from the beach - courtesy of the NCB and the coastal collieries who despoiled our local beaches for over 100 years. Shocking what they got away with back in the day. Prollies still would if the price was right.These bits of conveyor belt can still be found. They were used to bring the coal up from deep beneath the sea/earth. Staples held the sections of the belt together
