Egg chair

How fabulous is this? It's our new hanging egg chair for our very sunny sun terrace. Though Ann prefers to call it the 'wine drinking pod'.

Fortunately for Ann, I don't actually like it very much. I got plonked in it so that I could be blipped but it kept swinging around and I don't like things that move when I sit on them. And apart from anything else, it's too high for me to jump onto by myself. Ann's just spent half an hour sitting in. It's gone a bit cold now otherwise she'd be out there all night drinking wine?!!

…..........And in other news..........................

….......................Ann's on a bit of a 'water regime'. Ie, she has to drink at least 2 litres of water before she allows herself any wine. Trying to do it for a month but after 4 days haven't noticed any benefits??!! How long does it take? Noticed plenty of disadvantages – ie, she has to stop on my walks to have a wee I know, I know, far too much information.

Yesterday she had to go behind a prickly bush on the dunes – in full view of all the naval helicopters who were out on a practise??? #weknowhowtolive

After her morning coffee she drinks nothing all day apart from water. The last two evenings she's been working so wouldn't have been drinking wine anyway and on a 4/5 hour shift has had to go to the loo at least twice. Cutting down on her work productivity – hope you're not reading this 'Harbour Pool Club'???

But seriously........................... where did all this, 'drink a load of water every day', come from? And if it is such a good idea; how long does one have to wait to see the benefits? And what exactly are the benefits? Sorry to 'rant on' Blippers but trying to do this for a month and after 4 days cannot see any advantage to it. We found the below on the internet. Obviously one should not believe everything one reads on the internet??!!...........................

Top 10 benefits of drinking water:

Increases energy & relieves fatigue – definitely doesn't. Had to have a 'lie down' this morning after tidying the sun terrace.

Promotes weight loss – have yet to see evidence of this.

Flushes out toxins – ditto.

Improves skin complexion – ditto.

Maintains regularity – pretty regular anyway, thank you very much.

Boosts the immune system – where is the evidence of this?

Natural headache remedy – don't get headaches.

Prevents cramps & sprains – ditto.

Puts you in a good mood – evidence???????

Save money – how? – increased wee-ing leads to buying more toilet rolls. Lol!

The things we do to keep ourselves healthy.......................

…...........But the sad thing is.................... if we all went back to living how we did in the 1960/70s we wouldn't have all these stupid, stupid, rules telling us how much water to drink and how much exercise to have and how many calories we should consume, etc, etc, etc. And dogs would just get fed 'scraps' and wouldn't have to eat dry food which is no where near as tasty as scraps and we'd all walk everywhere and people with allergies hadn't been invented and vegetarians were considered weird?!

#timemoveson

OK rant over.

PS – If anyone can give Ann any positive info. re her 'drinking 2 litres of water a day' please comment below – she's turning into a right old moany bag??!! Lol.
