One little duck

Went swimming one day . . .

Well, Mum was trying to keep them all together, but some of them would keep swimming away. This one set off with a purpose and at quite a speed. 
 
After a bit of shopping in Alnwick, we went down to Alnmouth and on a walk that took us to the mouth of the River Aln and the harbour. Then we followed the river as it wandered through fields and salt marshes. Arriving back at the sea, we then walked back along the sands. A fine walk. Lots of birds and flowers spotted.
