Gunnerside Yorkshire Dales

This is the view from our friend's terrace. All the fields are divided by dry stone walls, the houses and barns are built of the same grey stone blending into the environment beautifully.
The extra photo shows some of the walls and old stone barns. The photo in the bottom left of the composit shows ridges on the land, these are lynchets and are the remains of Norman strip farming.
