great advances in medicine; dignity pants

They look a bit like the ones Eric Morecombe used to wear, but made of paper, in black and with the opening at the back.  Worn in conjunction with the standard hospital gown, they lend more than a little sartorial elegance to what is an inelegant and humiliating procedure.

I was as excited about the digity pants as I was with the news that the colonoscopy was clear - no lurking cancer cells.

I get home early afternoon and am orderd to lie on the sofa, watch the Tour de Yorkshire on TV and be waited upon by the resident Domestic Godess.  While I was off modelling the pants, she was baking a lovely cake and the most amazing cheese biscuits.  There is an upside to being ill sometimes.
