Grand finale

The final concert in the Lakeland Sinfonia series was this evening, and a real treat.
The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra crammed into the stage, and our soloist was Tasmin Little playing the Elgar Violin Concerto.
I was lucky enough to have a brief word with her in the interval, where she was promoting her latest recording.
Then the Brahms symphony 1, also stunning.
We will have to wait until October for the start of the next season, it will be interesting to see if they can match this one for quality.
