The Peloton climbing the Cote de Leeming

We watched the riders leave my home town of Bradford on the telebox and head out through Saltaire, Shipley and up Hollins Hill, which is a devil of a hill to start with and not even categorised!

Then it was on the bikes and away over the hill to the Cote de Leeming, which often forms part of one of my rides out (the difference being I go down and not up it!)  We found good spots with Tony heading further uphill whilst I set up my Yorkshire flag across from the Dog and Gun Pub, which was doing a roaring trade as folks arrived to spectate.

Once again it was fun to chat to folks and to wave at all the motorbikes and tour cars which came through in advance of the cyclists.  This guy arrived from 'Sheeptown' (Skipton) and lots of folks had their photos taken with him.

As it was the second big climb of the day, there was time to catch them as they toiled up the hill, the strong climbers having split from the rest of the pack.

Bike fans can find more blips here.

After the finish van went through, we were back on the bikes and a cuppa at our Jen's before heading home.
