Where the Light Gets In

By DHThomas

In rain and wind

remarkable tree
planted alone in the field
a torch of pure time

I borrowed the last line of my haiku from Belinda Cannone in her books An Oak and Wonderment. I'm always fascinated by big trees. I've photographed one in our Brittany garden enough times. Incidentally, you might get more of it in the future...

Extra: the lengths we blippers go to to catch our daily blip... Thanks to Julie for having the idea to photograph me while I was taking a few photos of this torch of pure time.
