Rotkehlchen

Which is the German name for a robin. I haven't seen many of these little things since I got here so it was a lovely surprise when this one stayed still long enough for me to get a quarter decent shot of it.

Out today at the City Of Bears where, in a change from working in the garden, we were invited round to the neighbours for Kaffee & Kuchen. As usual, as the only tea drinker, I got the standard litre of tea. Very nice. The cakes were homemade and included a rather lovely looking cheesecake and a beautiful variation on a Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (Black Forest gateau). After 2 enormous slices of that, I couldn't eat another thing.

Maybe I should have blipped the cakes.

A lovely afternoon where I understood more German and learned a few things.
