Mono Monday 171 - Serendipity

Serendipity - finding interesting things by chance.
SkiMe, who is hosting Mono Monday in May had set two possible themes for this week.  One of which is Serendipity.
I was completely stumped by both of the themes,couldn't think of how I could do either.  So I decided to just do a black and white shot of the rose from the weekend's bunch of flowers.  I wondered if there was a black and white setting on my Cannon, which I had not found yet.  Came upon a 'Grainy Black and White' setting  Light bulb moment - serendipity.  Bit of a stretch -  but I like the grainy quality so went with it.
