Caius flowers

I went into college today to pick up some post and saw this beautiful tree in bloom. Not only does it have the most wonderful flowers, but it's leaves are such an amazing colour too. I hadn't seen one before moving down to Cambridge but I've seen quite a few here - maybe they're a southern thing? Does anyone know what it is?
