on the dock

Steve & I had friends over for dinner tonight. We had not seen Tracey for a long time . . . it was so wonderful to see her & also to meet her friend! We all enjoyed sitting on the dock before dinner . . . that's where the breeze was. :o) 

I took just a few photos. Then I looked up and saw a little blue heron on a boat lift, in the shadows. I deepened the shadow once I got the photo out of my camera and then laid it over a photo of Steve & the girls on the dock. I like how it layered together!
