Day Eight Waiheke Island

This is a view from the ferry as we travel from the Auckland viaduct basin to Waiheke Island. Calm and sunny when we left at 10am but cooler and choppy seas when we came back at 2pm. We toured on a bus round the island, had lunch and learnt many things from the local driver.
Extras show Onetangi Beach now the tourists and summer bach owners have gone and the tug going out to bring in the container ship Spirit of Canterbury to the Port of Auckland.
8000 people live on Waiheke, 1400 of whom go to and from Auckland city to work.
Not such a busy day today so relaxing and getting blip on early.
