Abstract Thursday - Rhododendrons

I didn't really need to faff around with this photo; the rhododendrons at Westonbirt of ridiculously vibrant again this year. But a little Orton Effect filter has made it even madder! 

I would say larger is better, and if you do then check out the extra, which I thought was utterly delightful. It's an Abies Delavayi, a fir native to China, and the cones are simply fab. Bright blue with pink spines!
