This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month along with a wee diary of what has happened and how life has progressed for each of them. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.

This month has been all heading up toward todays open ice skating competition at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.  When I was sat in the spectator seats I was really worried that she would be too nervous to get on the ice.  She started out in a group of six who all go on to warm up together.  They then go on one at  a time to do their program.  It was nerve wracking just watching her attempt one of her spins and not quite getting to it until the third attempt.  She got announced and she went on, the only one on the whole ice rink in front of a substantial crowd and did great. She fell once, but just got up and got on with it.  She even made the spin she was trying.  She also had a friend from school there to watch and we threw flowers and teddy onto the ice for her (as is the custom apparently) when she finished.  She loved it inspite of not placing terribly well.

On top of that, she also designed the dress she’s wearing and helped her mum make it.
