At the Seaside

His Lordship and I were collected by his nephew from our overnight stay in Kilcullen and driven back to Dublin through an unbelievable commuter gridlock.

After saying our goodbyes, we took a deep breath, turned around and headed for the coast at Dun Laoghaire to meet up with blipper Raheny_Eye, who had taken time off from the Mistake Factory to arrange another day of sunshine for us to enjoy the seaside .

We lunched on the biggest and best sandwiches one could wish for at a vegetarian café in the Maritime Museum and had a blowy walk along the pier. Although the sky was blue, the sea was an odd colour of grey green capped by a cavalry charge of white horses driven on shore by a stiff breeze.

Thank you Raheny_Eye for being the perfect host. It was great to meet up with you on your adopted home territory, and we look forward to your next Edinburgh visit.
His Lordship says he is smiling inside in this blip!

Tomorrow our Irish odyssey continues with a bus journey to Cork and beyond.
