The Cavendish & Wiggo Road Show

Almost forgot dear old Bradley 'Wiggo' Wiggins and Mark Cavendish racing past our house this morning on Stage 2 of the Tour of Britain heading to Liverpool.

Me and J, and lovely next door neighbour Siân, stood outside in the light drizzle (MrsB being fearful of the cold, sat upstairs watching from the bedroom window). The Tour were due through Knutsford by 12 noonish, but in fact didn't appear until around 1pm. Have never seen as many motor bikes and support cars (I may be wrong, they seemed to outnumber the cyclists).

I asked J to take a video so we could upload to Youtube (see here) and I ended up stood on the other side of the road to her and Siân, with a small gathered throng of the enthusiastic, bemused or otherwise confused (me).

I got some great shots of the leading breakaway group which are now on my photoblog (but not including Wiggo and Cavendish as it later turned out), and then the following main Peleton (of which they were part, just tucked-in behind the front). Sods law, both men were hidden behind other riders, and were moving at such pace, there was no time to know who was who.

Reviewing afterwards, J's video got the best shot as they were on her side, and so we extracted a still of Cavendish (in white) discussing tactics or a joke with Wiggo (in sideburns). We were not 100% sure it was them at first, but pretty sure when checking online, and then definitely so when blip comments confirmed it.

This is another example of my Blip Bermuda Triangle outside and opposite our house. Current highlights over my first 6 blip months include:
