A view from Jeanneb

The beach.

It was cloudy first thing (shock horror) so we had a lazy start to the day. A bit of a lie in, leisurely breakfast and listened to the Archers compendium!

There were som blue patches appearing in the sky by then so we set off to the beach, not more than half a km away. It got brighter as we went.
The sea was at low tide ideal for watching the seabirds, Oyster catchers in particular and kept an eye open as always for an otter. Near the top of the beach, at least as far as the tide comes, were these wonderful ridges. I had to take it at right angles to the sea for the best effect.

After lunch Chris did a bit of wood chopping in case we need it later in the week and I did some knitting but it was such a lovely afternoon by then it felt a shame not to go out again. A circuit around Altandu with my favourite views over the Summer Isles, we stopped at the upturned boat stall seeking home produce from a Croat and bought some fresh duck eggs! As this is also next to the An Fouran bar it would have been silly not to have a drink over looking the harbour and the Isle of Ristol.

Back at base we took another walk down to the beach, now at high tide so all this area of ridges was covered.
You can see the beach at low tide from above in the extra and later at high tide in the second extra.

As I brought a (small bottle) of homemade Rhubarb gin I'm indulging a gin and tonic while Chris creates a Spanish style omelette with those duck eggs!

Thanks for all the hearts and stars for my Skye Magic shot. We've now heard that Quirang is even more spectacular - next year!
