Life in Newburgh on Ythan

By Talpa

A Curate's egg of a day.

The day started off well photographing Graham in his greenhouse with the 1200 plants that he is raising for the Newburgh communal gardens.

Thereafter it all went a bit pear-shaped. Thomas our elderly cat has been unwell of late and our vet is fearful that he may have to be put down in the coming days.

Then my confidence as a photographer took a big hit. Our passports are due for renewal and so I tried taking a digital image of Mrs T for upload to the Passport Office website. First attempt was rejected by the software because of an alleged shadow on the background. Second attempt was deemed to have reflections on the face. Third attempt, the software reported that it couldn't detect the outline of Mrs T's face! ..............Tenth attempt - I gave up. We are off the the photographer tomorrow. The shame, oh the shame.
