... it keeps me lugs warm. 
In spite of what "he" might say, for many a long moon now I have not been a fan of hats which make my head too warm. Unfortunately, however, I do suffer from cold Lug-holes. My mate Michael had a spare Lug warmer which he was prepared to donate to a good cause ... ME.
