Hauraki fog

I am attending what I expect will be my last Council meeting. After almost nine years, it is time to stop. The plane from Auckland to Wellington this morning was delayed (some discrepancy in the paperwork?!?), and as we headed south I was able to see through the window the rather special appearance given by a fog bank over the Hauraki Gulf just past the entrance to the Waitemata Harbour. Had we left on time (a half hour earlier) there may have been a bit more colour from being less time after sunrise.

A good meeting today. Soon, I will join my colleagues for refreshments and a meal
