Wood Duck

It was back to my comfort zone this morning when I went with WRPerry to a wetland location in Virginia where we had never been before that was only about an hour from home. We were treated to Green Heron's, Great Blues, Sandpipers, Muscrats, Beavers, a Morganser with about 10 chicks, and several pairs of Wood Ducks.  It is such a rarity for me to see these special ducks, so I knew if the shot was decent it would have to be my blip. I have loaded an extra of Mr. and Mrs.   Both shots were taken from quite a distance and have been heavily cropped, but I think you can still see how beautiful they are.
