Slingshot

This is one of the elements of a new team-building ropes course that my golf club just built. You're harnessed onto a swinging rope, then pulled up (by a group of people) by another rope as high as you feel comfortable with; you then release a pulley and off you shoot into the forest, as if by a slingshot. This lady had just released herself and is off -- with a hefty scream!

Today was the opening of the course, with a group of embassy staff that had a lot of fun. I'm an occasional staff photographer for the club and went to take a few pics. The extra is of the arrival at the end of a zipline. 

Very challenging photography: everything is under a tree canopy (so dappled light, strong shadows and bright light), the action is extremely fast, and the subjects move in unpredictable ways. It'll take some getting used to!
