Not where I expected to be ...

 ...... and never, ever wanted to be!

Instead of jetting of to St Lucia this morning (for that's where we were going) I have spent the night and day at a local hospital where Himself was admitted after suffering a stroke in the airport hotel last night.  
Such a shock (for both of us) and I have spent most of the day in tears.
  
He is comfortable but they cannot tell me how long he will be there or, at the moment, what the long-term prognosis is ........ it seems so unfair that's he's suffered so much illness since returning from Desert Storm in 1991.
It's just one thing after another after another ...... and I feel so helpless.

All I can do is be there ............
