Co-parenting

H, P, Mr A and I have had a close to perfect day. Everyone took some sort of morning walk. P and Mr A wandered along the sea shore first thing. Then I wandered in the opposite direction and came across the geese and goslings (many) we've seen several times since we've been here. There seem to be about 50 goslings, and there seems to be some sort of co-parenting thing going with the 6 sets of parents with all of these goslings. Finally, Mr A and H wandered across to the tidal island which was connected to the mainland this morning.

After breakfast, we eventually got going and went to see the Broch just along the road. Then to the Heritage Centre for a poke around and coffee/tea/cake (delete as appropriate). Finally, to the south of the island where we walked down to Castle Arduaine and enjoyed a wonderful picnic in the ruins of the castle, feeling, literally, like the kings of the castle. I've added a few extras.

There were a few spots of rain here and there, but mainly it was dry, and periodically sunny. It was always warm, with just enough hints of wind to keep the midges away. Back at the cottage we chilled in the garden with beers, before dinner. Now we are waiting to see whether there might be a sunset. There. Just. Might. Be.

What a perfect day. Completely relaxing.
