Town & country

Imagine, as a miniature flying creature, being blown towards an approaching cyclist's neck, I guess you would scream, wouldn't you? On impact, your teeth would only accidentally dive into soft flesh, wouldn't they?

Despite the swelling, it's been another cracking day. We had a flat ride heading east through urban chaos before finding the tranquility of the green routes heading through countryside, farms and to our lunch stop, the delightful square of Santa Margalida.

After a relaxing stop, we continued mainly through quiet winding lanes passing goats, horses, a foal that can only have been a day or so old, a peacock, sheep and a variety of dogs. We've hopped on and off our bikes at our leisure saying hello to various animals and stopping for photos of the stunning vistas.

Being back mid afternoon, we've had a little sun bathing time and another wonderful meal at the lovely Stefano's, a stone's throw from the apartment.

Relaxing. Fresh air.  Cycling. A simple and magnificent way of life.
