We had a lovely sunny morning which we spent in the garden - me planting and potting, Hubby getting the pump in our well started and measuring up the terrace for tiling. Many tits are now making frequent visits to the bird feeder - mainly for the nuts - so have obviously hatched their broods. The nesting Rotschwanz, or Redstart, makes very short breaks from the nest and Hubby took it down to have a quick look. There are 5 tiny eggs in this pretty nest, shown better in the extra. The shell has been sawn in half to use as a dish. Hubby was given it in Australia and it sits high up on the terrace with other shells and Australian artefacts.
More thunderstorms this afternoon and the temperature dropped dramatically. Tomorrow we will be soaking up the warm in the day spa and sauna so it doesn't matter if it stays like this.
