Exploring the Eastern Mainland by car...

...as the weather wasn't too promising for being outdoors on foot...
Went down to the tip of South Ronaldsay taking in the Italian Chapel (main blip), the Churchill Barriers, a spot of rust (see extras) and great views on the way.
The ornate Italian Chapel was developed by the prisoners of war who built the barriers that kept German submarines away from the fleet in Scapa Flow. Incredibly, it is inside a Nissen Hut... The barriers are now a permanent causeway that link the five Eastern islands.
