Belsay Hall

Today's the day ......................... for a Greek Revival

Back home today - and a visit to Belsay near Morpeth on the way.

According to the guidebook, Belsay has everything - a hall inspired by the Classical architecture of ancient Greece, a medieval castle with rare wall paintings and magnificent gardens full of exotic plants and trees, including the unique quarry garden.

Here is a bit of the terrace garden on the south side of the hall, full of colourful tulips looking very vibrant in the sunshine ......................
