Dining Room Mirror

As we were preparing to move things from our Connecticut house to the new apartment in Boston, I noticed that the antique mirror hanging over the dining room sideboard was falling apart.  I called a restorer, who promptly came to pick it up, and repaired it beautifully.  Because it is so large, it took up the entire back of our car, leaving no room for anything else (like Mabel and BB, for example!), so we drove it to Boston this morning, hung it, and then drove back to Connecticut -- a total of 5 hours driving -- where we will re pack the car with some boxes of books and our two dogs, and return to the city tomorrow morning.  Phew.

Anyway, here is the restored mirror in its new home.  On Wednesday the new sofas will be delivered, and we will have a fully furnished home at last!

Happy Mothers Day to all you (American) Mothers out there!
