Nature morte

Home, a place where the old meets the new.
Memories, keepsakes and nature's treasures.
Light and shadows, shine and dullness
Creating their own still lifes
As through a pinhole.

For SkiMe and MM173

A spin-off of creating chiaroscuro stilllifes for day 1 of a Dutch photo project this week, 'looking differently at art' by Else Kramer. A nice way to link to last Thursday theme of 'painterly'. Thanks again for all the enthusiasm every week, for all those creative and colourful entries. Last Thursday we had 69 of these entries, see them all here. This coming Thursday's theme is 'what is it?'  and its tag will be AT99 ! So enjoy creating an abstract that will make people wonder what they are seeing :-)

Here are my picks of 5 special entries:
craftylady   for a delicate double exposure abstract
LeeAnn       for a serene intentional camera movement landscape
Naturelover  for colourful reflections
Anneli       for impressionist forget-me-nots  and
isbi         for a colourful autumn impression

I saw an emergency dentist today, the other part of what is now a broken crown came off too last night. This ageing bit is just no fun at all !
Won't be able to chew much for  a while, until a regular dentist has been found. Just as well I'm back on the diet. Who knew that finding a dentist who has still room for new patients is rather difficult nowadays. Maybe I should tell the off-spring to start studying dentistry instead of their latest studies  ;-)

Thanks very much for the comments and stars for yesterday's Blip of the garden in bloom.
