Sabre Wasp - Alien !

I have never seen one of these magnificent creatures before but we were walking at Hurlestone Point on Exmoor and it landed on my walking pole- we looked it up at home and it is a member of the Ichneumon - like Alien , they lay eggs in a living host!!

Have had problems posting as my card reader on my old lap top has stopped working - this is curtesy of Stan's old one ! So frustrating! Keep trying to justify the purchase of a Macbook Air - would I get the benefit from it photo wise??I have an ipad which I use for everything else.
