Birthday Outing

Today is my birthday and a lovely outing had been planned which needed sunny and dry weather!
I awoke to wonderful blue skies and the temperatures soared to a marvellous 24C.

First of all, breakfast in the Hotel d'Angleterre down by the lake. We sat outside under the big parasols you can see. Then a very long walk along the lake, passing the Ouchy landmark of the crescent-shaped weather vane which swings according to the wind that's blowing.  Today, it was a slight north-easterly wind over the lake. One of the old historical steam-boats glided by and I lingered to enjoy the scene and capture some water reflections. 

Back home this afternoon, it was definitely the right time to cut into my birthday cake: chocolate truffle with fresh raspberries.

Today was far too colourful a day to want to take part in the Mono Monday challenge!
