Kangaroo Grass

I know I have Blipped these before, but when the new seed heads emerge I am always fascinated by their structure and mechanism for dispersing their pollen through air movement. I now have three of these plants flourishing in front of our house and they soften everything by waving gently in the breeze. Some of these fronds are up to 1.5metres tall. The detail shown here is only about 2cm of the base of the seed head.
