Probably the most Colourful Village in Ireland ...

... Eyeries in the evening sunshine. Though Allihies (other colourful house) is not far behind.

Day 2 of our Beara trip and the fog lifted and the sun was shining! An enormous breakfast with superb choice (one of us had the Full Irish!!), and much chat with the landlady and another guest as to how to find wells we were off. Yesterday was positively relaxed in comparison! We climbed mountains looking for incredibly obscure holy wells and found the oddest one yet - see extra - can that teensy hole really be the well?? It seems to be! Dedicated to St Michael too and a real mission to get to. We wandered down to strands, discussed wooden cabins with a Swiss man, saw the largest Ogham stone in Ireland (huge!), visited the hag of Beara, saw the burial place of the Children of Lir and wandered around a lovely colourful Eyries.  What an adventure!
