Exploring new walks

Gavin and I had a lovely walk in the area around our house this morning with Murdoch - then we dropped him off at home and went into the village to get some groceries and to have a coffee. With Thomas studying and no sport on today for him we felt at a bit of a loose end, so we went off to the garden centre to look at some things and then found ourselves driving in the area around our new house exploring the woods and walks near there.

As the new house is only in the next village many things will stay the same - we will still shop in our current village (as the village we are moving to only has a couple of insignificant shops on the high street and 3 restaurants). We will still do some of the same dog walks but today we discovered there are even more woods to explore with some excellent walks. This image is of an area not far from the new house that has a few ponds and it is a large area to walk. I liked these wild irises in bloom on the edge of the pond (I think that is what they are). It was sunny when we woke up but here the rain clouds had gathered and there were a few spits of rain - it is sunny again now though.
