Life's Little Moments

Nice...tail!

I decided that today would be a good day for some fartknarkling in Photoshop.  So, after taking both cameras out for a while (one with the 300mm and the other with the 105mm), I chose this shot of the tail of a blue jay and then used layer masks to create a black background.  It's far from perfect, but it's okay for today.

It seemed appropriate to blip a blue jay since there were a half dozen of them around today, being loud and brash and blue.  The only things birds that are higher in the pecking order at the feeders are the red-bellied woodpeckers and, apparently, brown thrashers.  I watched a thrasher hold it's own when three blue jays tried to move in on the suet feeder - the thrasher just flashed his wings a few times and continued eating while the jays waited for their turn, complaining loudly.

Rain showers this morning changed my plans for a walk, but I'm hoping for better weather tomorrow.

Had a good visit with MIL.  She was a little confused today, but seemed better by the time I left.  Meanwhile, Hubs had a very good day racing although he said they may have to do some work on the front end of the car before tomorrow's race.  Two solid days of racing makes for a happy Hubs.

Thanks for stopping by.
