Cedar Waxwing

The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is part of Mass Audubon, and has trails through woodland, marsh and dune environments.  My husband and I took advantage of the sunshine and breezes today to take a walk with my camera and his binoculars.  We saw these Cedar Waxwings, Green Herons, Sandpipers, Snowy Egrets, a female Eastern Towhee, a Gray Catbird and a Brown-headed Cowbird.  I haven't seen this many species there before, or perhaps I'm getting better at identifying them.  I have also added a photo of the most adorable baby Red Squirrel.  We don't have the red version at home, so it was a treat to see him and two siblings go in and out of a hole in a tree trunk.  They used the tree as their personal play equipment.
