An early start doing sidesman duty at St Luke's this morning, including celebrations during and after the service for the ruby wedding anniversary of long-standing and exceptionally hard-working church members Jan and Ray. There was, of course, cake.

Lunch at our local carvery, and then a lazy Sunday afternoon until I suddenly decided to do a bit of tidying in the garden. For once, I haven't been bitten to shreds by mosquitoes and midges. I obviously didn't eat enough cake earlier to sweeten my blood. Must try harder next time.
