Ant on the Run

When aren't they on the run? I dont think I have ever seen an ant sitting still.

It has been a cold bleak day today with just a tantalising and brief sun breakthrough that encouraged me to pop outside to see what could be found in the garden.

This lone ant was all I saw. I think all the millions of other ants that live in my garden were sitting around by their fireside toasting their toes and drinking hot soup.

It wasn't long before the sun gave up the battle and let the bleak back in.

I woke with a migraine this morning -  no idea why, but it may explain why I was so woolly yesterday. Luckily I have magic pills that deal to the headache very efficiently but it leaves me tired and lethargic.
