I see no Ships!

A day of travel, leaving the exciting city of Barcelona for the more rural appeal of Moraira and the wedding of friends Bob and Liz! We had opted to travel by train from Barcelona to Alicante rather than fly to see a bit more of the countryside. The train journey was brilliant – helped by the fact that we chose 'Preferente' Class and were wined and dined all the way through the 5 hour journey; we would definitely do it again.
We picked up a hire car and drove the rest of the way in brilliant sunshine, stopping at one point for today's blip! (I noticed these strange metal figures near the beach). Then on to the hotel where we will be for the next couple of nights. The wedding is local and we will not need to drive at all – probably a good thing!
This evening we have been out for a meal with friends all staying here too. The six men of the group (Bob is one of them) have been friends for many years since they shared a house in their bachelor days. They all get a bit silly after a few drinks (who doesn't?) and it's good to see a group so happy and comfortable in each others' company – no doubt more laughter and frivolity to follow tomorrow.

I now have to go downstairs to reception where I hope to be able to pick up wifi!!!!
