Wizard of Oswestry

Today I went to a funeral in Trefonen, a village near Oswestry. While I was there I took a photo of these wonderful models in the centre of the village which have been made to advertise the performance of The Wizard Of Oz tonight as part of the weekend celebrations connected to the annual Trefonen Hillwalk. Unfortunately I can't go but I hope that they get a good audience.

Every year they have a selection of hill walks during the bank Holiday weekend to raise money for charity plus various entertainments and competitions during the festivities.

Our walking group usually does the one on Monday, there's always a marquee with drinks and homemade cakes which is a great addition to a walk!
