My Bit of Harris!

Cycling through the Outer Hebrides prevented me from collecting too many keepsakes so I have just the one fridge magnet, a Berserker (a reproduction of one of the Lewis Chessmen!)  However I did treat myself to a proper bit of Harris Tweed.

Harris Tweed is the only material protected by an Act of Parliament.  It has to be made in the Hebrides and it has to be hand woven.  If you would like to know more about it, with wonderful views of the Hebrides too, see here!

So my lovely blue throw now has pride of place over our comfy chair!
