Land-and-seascapes

Bye Bye London.

Still buzzing from yesterdays concert, we checked out from the hotel around 10.30am.
We still had to kill a few hours before we had to go to the airport, so the Picadilly line dropped us off at Hyde Park Corner.
In the park we read in our e-readers for an hour and a half while we watched the people of Londen jogging and cycling through the park.

It all had a bit of a strange atmosphere though. The weather was great, hot in fact, people were calm and everything seemed ok. But once in a while a police car came by, we saw police on horses in the distance and a few times even groups of military. On a nearby kiosk we could read the headlines on the newspaper 'London in Lockdown due to bombterror'. Then there we also several half raised flags on buildings as silent reminders.

Around 13.00 o'clock we went to a very busy Heathrow Airport and flew back to Amsterdam around 16.00 o'clock. A few minutes after take off we flew over the centre of Londen and had some great views from the plane. Bye London!

We arrived home safely at 22.30 o'clock.
