Magnolia 'Hot Flash'

My friend has been waiting a long time for this yellow magnolia to flower, and was so delighted this morning to tell me it had 6 flowers on.
Fortunately I had my camera in the car, and so was able to take a few photos.
I don't think it will be looking quite so good now,as about half an hour ago we had a thunderstorm, and I have not seen rain like it for a many years. Also hail stones.
Now the sun is out and it is like a sauna out in the garden.

Just getting ready as our friends are picking us up for a BBQ at their house.
I just hope that is the end of storms for today, and your afternoon hasn't been a wash out.
