Sunday rambles.....

.....at the local airfield.

Beautiful calm day, the air a little crisp while the sun was warm on ones back. Plenty happening today, lots of flying as all types of aircraft took to the sky.

It was round noon when Mis'Stress flew in, I could here her and reeled off some great shots, I'm slowly getting better with this type of photography.

Mis'Stress is a replica Titan Mustang based at Hood Aerodrome, Masterton, in the North Island. She's powered by a Rotax 914 Turbo, giving good power boost on take off and climb up to fourteen thousand feet. There was a private fly-in locally for classic planes, some making it a long weekend with it being ANZAC this coming Tuesday while others were heading home to prepare for ANZAC flypasts.

Two spitfires and another mustang called in to refuel but it was Mis'Stress which caught my eye with her cheeky pose and red attire. Some more shots in my extras, especially pleased to get her propeller spinning as she was arriving, and one of her pilot Bill McWilliam as Mis'Stress taxied before taking to the sky, shows the registration ZK-WWM.

A backblip as being outside all day my eyes were not the best, pleased to get this up a month later!

Another great airfield Sunday :)
