Wetherby orienteering

Travelled the short distance to Wetherby today to take part in an urban orienteering event. When I first arrived the weather was cool and overcast, perfect for me to run in. By the time I clocked in at the start the sun was out and the temperature climbing. The course was very well planned and took a lot of concentration. Unfortunately my brain wasn't in it and I made a drastic error at the start which entailed a lot of running to correct and the heat took it's toll on me. Tomorrow my own club is hosting the annual York City Orienteering Race and I will be helping. The extras are of just one of the controls sited within some parkland above the river.
